Nicole, Ally, Reilly, Molly and me. Molly is so great because she gets so excited for these events. She counts them down by the days and hours. And plans for what she will wear months in advance. I love beehives! Her excitement honestly makes me so happy. They always are so excited about YW's. I wish they would stay that way. I'm like a mom that when I see the girls go from middle school to high school and then from mia maids to Laurels and then to dating and leaving yw's it makes me all sad. I just want them to stay young, excited about YW's and drama free forever.

Our pretty stage

Britni and Stephanie- Love these girls

Here are a few pictures from New Beginnings. It went so well and the
yw did such a great job. And the YM escorting the new beehives up onto the stage was so cute. I must say that working with the YW brings me so much joy and fulfillment. It is amazing how much fun I have with them. I love then all so much and feel beyond blessed to have such a calling. Here we are a little exhausted after all is finally done. So very briefly I must tell a short story for my Brother-in-law Dave's comment on how I look like I could be one of the YW. So I must say thank you first but I know I don't look 18. However there was a little confusion! So I go and chaperon this tri stake dance by myself because Nathan is out of town. I walk in and this Boy who knows I'm married tries to hit on me. I turn away walking very quickly. I sit down on the outer perimeter seats and this boy comes up to me and sits next to me. He is asking my name and other questions. I spot one of my girls and flee quickly. OK, true he could have just seen me by myself and wanted to be nice. Well, so I am talking to one of my laurels and a slow song comes on and this boy who looks about 17-18 comes up and asks me to dance. Mercy... feeling very awkward, my laurels says why not POLLY. So I accept. When we start dancing I say you know I'm a leader right and married. The boy was shocked/embarrassed. I asked him how old I looked He said 18- ya right. OK he did have sunglasses on in the dark gym so his vision could have been impaired. So we danced, I asked him all these random questions, he was acting like all he wanted to do was flee and before the song ended he just walked off. It was hilarious I felt kinda bad for the poor chap. Needles to say I am not going chaperoning alone again.
What are you talking about???? I think you could definitely pass as a YW. Maybe not a Beehive... Is this just wishful thinking?
ReplyDeleteThat poor YM, that's so funny he really didn't know you were a leader. That is so hilarious though!! I love the New beginnings pictures, everything looks like it turned out so good! That water park also looks like a blast! I am jealous of all your amazing adventures! Love you!!!!
ReplyDeletePolly Wog...
ReplyDeleteIf ever there were a beautiful girl you would win first prize. Isn't working in YW wonderful! I am the first counselor in my ward, and I honestly feel just like one of the girls...
Love ya!
