Happy Valentine's Day

As most of you know, one of the three fold missions of this blog is for me to declare my unending love for Polly. She truly is my everything and although this blog can never do my burning love justice, it is all we have and I must make do.
Most of you also probably know that I have been known to dabble into the exciting world of sand art and that I even competed on the professional tour (S.A.P.T.) from 2000-2002 before my knees gave out.
While I never finished any better in a competition than third place (Hermosa Beach Sandcastle Invitational 2001), I still feel that competitive drive to create from sand. So I spent nine hours designing and forming the creation you see above. It is a literal symbol of how I feel about my sweet wife this Valentine's Day. Try not to view it in the abstract, but focus on the symplicity of the message--let is wash over you. That is art. It will live forever--this sandbar will forever be a symbol of my love for Polly.
So now, with that said let me wish my wife a Happy Valentine's Day and say sorry for leaving her all alone on it. Polly, I know you will probably rent Bring It On 9: Winner Take All! from Redbox and sit back and watch it with your dinner of oatmeal and cucumbers. I hope that will take your mind off of being alone, but I want you and all of the blogosphere to know how much I love you, appreciate you and need you. Thank you for being so supportive and for being so perfect. I would be lost without you. I love you forever.
